Living The Dream: Rohit Anand

Dream Downtown, located in the Meatpacking District, occupies the very top tier amidst NYC’s elite, boutique hotels. Everything about it exudes luxury and effortless cool; from its sleek stainless steel façade to the chic, dimly lit lobby and sexy rooftop pool. It houses over 300 loft and luxury rooms, along with an absolutely insane, 2-story, rooftop presidential suite. For late night revelers, the hotel offers many options. You can party till late at the hotel’s acclaimed PH-D rooftop lounge & bar, or enjoy a sumptuous late dinner and drinks at one of its upscale restaurants: Bodega Negra or Megu.

For our Nocturnal Issue, we connected with the dapper Rohit Anand, the Global Director of brand partnerships and activations at Dream Hotels. Basically, he’s tasked with aligning the hotel’s vibrant lifestyle image with relevant cultural happenings in music, art, fashion, tech and wellness. It’s not a regular 9-5, and his daily activities often lead well into the night.

Current projects on his calendar include a Rolling Stones Exhibit (launching 11/15) at the Dream Downtown and an art initiative at Art Basel in Miami. There are also several expansions on the way with new Dream hotels opening soon in Los Angeles, Palm Springs, Dallas, and Nashville. We recently spent some time with Rohit to see what a day in his life looks like, and also observe the stylish clothes that keep him looking his best.

“This is my go to look because it’s both formal and relaxed. To me the look is versatile. You can rock it during the day for meetings and also to a cocktail event at night.”

02: Downtime/Weekend Vibes

“Fall is my favorite season – Turtlenecks are a thing and I love burgundy too.”

Look 3: Night Moves

“I really dig dark colors and grey/green is a nice combination to create that dark hue. The coat is cool because it’s almost a hybrid of a blazer and long coat. Perfect for going out.”
