The September Edit: NYFW SS19 Street Style
When September rolls around in New York, fashion week festivities seem to take up all the oxygen in the city. This season’s proceedings were no different, and to be honest, we saw a little bit of everything. There was the good (the imperial Ralph Lauren being feted for his iconic brand’s 50-year anniversary); the inspiring (Pyer Moss channeling the African American experience in a moving and powerful show), the bad (Cardi B rumbling with Nicki Minaj at Harper’s Bazaar ICON soiree); and even the unexplained (Justin Bieber’s new surf-sleaze vibe somehow fitting easily into the local NY style scene). But through it all, one thing that always stands out is the amazing street style on display; from both NYC denizens and visiting fashionistas alike. We commissioned the highly capable eye of photographer Matthew Sperzel to capture the street action, and we weren’t disappointed. Notable cameos in the gallery below include WWD’s Alex Badia, Poggy (United Arrows & Sons), and Pusha T’s stylist, Marcus Paul. See the shots below:
