Photo Essay: All You Need Is…RIO
James Law is a very good friend of O.N.S. Ever since we first launched our digital publication, he’s been our go-to West Coast photographer, capturing vibrant personalities like Jesse Boykins III and Rich Freshman. He’s originally from Southern California, and he currently calls Los Angeles home. He has an extremely varied background, and as he explains, he was raised on “martial arts, side jobs and skateboarding, with a smattering of time spent in a small rocky mountain town in the Aspen Valley.”
His photography style is uniquely his own; he’s able to capture emotion, energy, natural beauty, and honesty in his expertly-composed frames. To date, his glossary of clients is very impressive—it includes reputable global names like: Apple, Sony Music, Puma, RVCA, Leica, to name a few.
For our Film and Photo Issue, James agreed to let us share a gorgeous gallery of Rio images he captured on a recent trip. The stunning panoramic pictures were shot on a Hasselblad XPan camera, and they certainly capture the magic and scenic splendor of this enchanting coastal city. Enjoy the photos below:
