Model Behavior: Emanuele Fiore
As our brand keeps evolving, we continue to expand our circle by collaborating with an impressive plethora of talented and diverse individuals. For our most recent FW15 shoot, we worked with the handsome Italian model (and former professional swimmer), Emanuele Fiore. He has worked all over the world and modeled for several of the most revered luxury brands and magazines. In the following interview, Emanuele tells us about his jet-setting career and he even shares tips on how he maintains his chiseled physique and runway-ready visage.
Where are you from originally and when did you start modeling?
I was born and raised in Turino, Italy. My family is from Sicily. I started modeling when I was 19-years-old.
Were you discovered or did you actively pursue a modeling career?
It started as a hobby in Torino and then I chose to move to Milano at the age of 19 to pursue a modeling career professionally.
What have been some of your biggest campaigns, editorials and fashion shows to date?
I have been in campaigns for Giorgio Armani and Ferre, editorials with L’Official, Homme Vogue Italia, GQ, Maxim and Men’s Health. I have also walked in shows for Armani, Dolce & Gabbana and Amfar.
You work a lot with Safari Magazine in Japan. Can you tell us more about that?
I love Japan as a destination and I go there regularly for work. I’m presently one of the 5 main models used at Safari Magazine, and I am proud to be part of their team. Safari is one of the top-selling magazines in Japan that all the top brands compete to be in.
Staying fit and lean is a major part of being a model. Can you describe to us your daily workout routine?
A healthy lifestyle is part of my credo. I start my day with a smile and a run, followed by a quick weightlifting session in my gym. This is enough to stay in shape and maintain the body I built during my teenage years as a professional swimmer.
Do you also follow a strict eating diet?
Being Italian, it is hard to say no to pasta or burrata …
How about hair and grooming, do you have any tricks and rituals for keeping your hair and skin looking great?
First off, being happy and positive goes a long way. Drinking a lot of water keeps my hair healthy and skin toned. However, I use only professional hair products. My latest discovery is Valery Joseph salon; they give extraordinary haircuts and have great hair products. There is nothing better for my skin than La Mer.
Of all the different cities you have been with your career, what’s your favorite?
I love New York. It’s the center of universe and the dream city every model wants to conquer. But Tokyo is always on my mind. I really love the Japanese culture and their perfection and respect. Japan is impeccable.
What do you feel is the best thing about being a male model and also, what is the worst thing?
The best thing is being with the most beautiful women on earth on a job site. The worst part is being underpaid. This is the only job I know where men are paid much less than female models of the same ranking.
Lastly, apart from being a model, what other career or profession would you like to do?
I would love to become an actor and also take a stab at fashion photography.
