The Only Holiday Style Guide That Counts
Sabir Peele is one of the sharpest dressers you’ll come across in the menswear game. He runs his popular men’s fashion blog, www.mensstylepro.com, and he is also a freelance brand ambassador and consultant for GQ. For our Holiday Entertaining issue, we invited the dapper North Philly native to the newly-opened Redbury New York hotel in midtown Manhattan for a Holiday-themed editorial shoot. He promptly gave us a masters course on how to look great at any type of Holiday gathering.
01 – Cozy Holiday Soiree
The best part of the Holiday season is spending quality time and exchanging gifts with family & friends. For a casual get-together with all your loved ones, comfort is the key factor. Opt for a cozy, well-fitting sweater and nice dark denim. It has a casual vibe, but it’s still very presentable.
02 – Office Party
Most rookies let their guard down at the office party, but pros know the higher-ups are always secretly watching. We suggest turning up the style dial, maintaining a jovial demeanor, and knowing the fine line between being “acceptably tipsy” and “embarrassingly inebriated.” Sabir shows us a handsome formal look below, with the necktie providing the requisite pop of fun.
03 – Coffee Date
Even when the Holiday season is in full swing, the quest for love and companionship never takes a day off. If you find yourself maneuvering the unpredictable “singles” terrain this year, this is exactly how you should dress. The tweed bomber and check shirt are anchored perfectly by the denim and minimal sneakers. Accessorize with confidence and chivalry, and a second date is all but assured.
04 – New Year’s Party
After all the anxiety-inducing shenanigans of 2016, we honestly can’t wait for the ball to drop so we can dispatch this year to the dusty annals of history. This year, we’ll be partying harder than ever, but we’re still be looking damn good when we’re popping those bottles.
